Dear Friends,
You never think it will happen to you. One day you are enjoying your home and looking forward to summer and the next day you are crawling out of what was left of your home. But by the grace of God you get through it and because of friends and family God blesses the situation in so many ways.
God will surely bless you because of your generous giving. So many times we have given to a relief fund, but did not realize what effect it has on the people the giving touches. Now we do. It is hard to put into words how we feel, but know that your gifts were received with awe and will be put to God’s good use.
It is the grace of God that works through people and His grace is shown in so many ways. From a friend of a friend who let us use his apartment for two weeks until we found a place to stay while we rebuild. From people you have never met before giving because of the love and concern in their hearts. From the 15 or so guys from John’s office that came out for two days to help us salvage special furniture and memories. From the church and Red Cross volunteers who drove through the subdivision giving water, sunscreen, food and tetnus shots. From people far away who give gifts of love without a second thought.
From the depths of our hearts we thank you so much!
Love,
John, Audra, Jay and Hanna
I know I run the risk of leaving someone out, so I apologize in advance, however I would like to list the names of the people who helped us out. You are our heroes. Matthew 25:34-36
