Christmas 2005

“Love came down at Christmas;
Love all lovely, love divine;
Love was born at Christmas;
Stars and angels gave the sign.”
~Christina Rossetti~

Merry Christmas from the north woods! What a difference a year makes. We have moved from humid and tropical Florida all the way to the Monadack Mountains of New Hampshire. We are all very happy and blessed this season with a new church, friends, and a beautiful home. We hope that this letter finds you well, and wish you a wonderful Christmas and many blessings for the New Year!

As you can tell by the picture Jay and Hanna are growing up! Jay is 13 and in the 7th grade. He is a super student, plays saxophone in the band and jazz band, is trying out for wrestling, and will also play baseball this spring. He is quite involved in the Milford United Methodist Youth Group and in his spare time tries to fit in some video games.

Hanna is nine and in 3rd grade. She has a wonderful teacher this year, and is also doing well in school. She has made many friends at church and in the neighborhood. She sings in the Trinity Dove Choir at church, and loves gymnastics. Next year she will begin band (Clarinet I hope!).

John is settling into his job in the E-10 Systems Group. Although we see retirement from the Air Force on the horizon, he is working hard to keep you safe.

Both John and I are playing bells, actually in our home. We are in the process of building a new church just down the road from us. Right now practices and meetings are being held in members’ homes. My dining room is currently the bell practice room.

I finally graduated in May 2005 with my Masters in Elementary Education. I am substitute teaching in Milford, but just found out that I have been hired in Hollis, a nearby town, for a third grade long-term substitute position. I will begin mid January and finish out the school year.

Love,
John, Audra, Jay and Hanna
