Dear Family and Friends,
“Joy to the World…” What a wonderful
blessing each of you are to us. Even during this time of change
and some turmoil, it is nice to know that we have such caring
and loving people in our lives.
We will be on our way to Oklahoma on January
9th of the new year. John reports to work on the 12th and then
we have 10 days to find a place to live until our house here in
Beavercreek sells. We have had many showings, one offer (too low)
and a possiblty of an offer at this time. Keep your figers crossed.
Hanna is growing up instead of out. She
is 16 pounds 8 ounces and 29 inches. She’s tiny but mighty and
looks just like her brother. She has her first four teeth and
is working on her molars. I have no idea why she did not get the
next four teeth. I’m hoping they will come soon. She does not
talk much but shakes her head yes and no. All the tests she was
given because of her small size these past two months have come
back normal. She is just a petite little girl.
Jay is doing well. He is in preschool and
sort of looking forward to moving. He says he will miss Grandma
and Grandpas very much. He loves to draw and paint on the computer.
We usually have his drawings all over the refrigerator.
It has been a rough fall. With all the showings
we have had to keep the house clean. Tell a five year old and
one year old that! Every time I would think we were ready Hanna
would dump Jay’s legos all over his bedroom floor. Many times
I have shoved all the blocks under the bed just before the showing.
John is looking forward to his new job.
He will be with the Air Weather Service working on the Nexrad
Doppler Radar. He will be designing the software and hardware
needed for the radar. We will be stationed at Tinker AFB but John’s
office is in Norman, OK about 20 to 30 minutes away.
I have applied to the University of Oklahoma
Graduate School and hope to be accepted in the School of Journalism
and Mass Communication. I plan to get a Masters of Arts with a
emphasis in Journalism and Education. I would like to eventually
teach at a two year college.
